Guests and members of Carole’s Buddies raised 580 Euros during a quiz held at the Holiday Inn Algarve in Armação de Pêra in aid of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira.
In a meeting between staff and fundraisers it was decided that the money raised would be used to purchase furnishings for the recreational areas run by the charity, which coordinates the Lar São Vicente home for physically and mentally disabled residents and Pirilampos children’s home.
Organisers of the quiz night would like to thank all the people who supported the event while funds are now being sought for the purchase of a new bus for the children at Pirilampos as their current vehicle no longer conforms to regulations.

Carole’s Buddies is an informal group of around 80 friends who meet once a month for trips and events while also arranging fundraising for various charities.
The next trip will be to the Ria Formosa in September while a charity evening in aid of Help for Heroes has been arranged for October.
