Carnival fun for Faro children

news: Carnival fun for Faro children

A PROCESSION of nearly 3,000 children from Faro’s primary schools and nurseries, dressed in a vast array of brightly coloured costumes, made their way down Rua de Santo António, as part of the city’s carnival celebrations. Following the parade, which drew considerable crowds, the children were invited to enjoy a magic show, performing clowns and lively music at Faro’s Jardim Manuel Bívar. Among the children enjoying the festivities, many classes were dressed in identical costumes, with their teachers even joining suit! Lots of fun was clearly had by all. Photos: Caroline Cunha
