A charity Carnival ball held at the Portimão Arena on Sunday raised 2,460 euros for the Haiti earthquake victims.
The funds, which were raised with the help from the Portimão voluntary firefighters, will be donated to AMI (International Medical Assitence), a non-governmental organisation which is currently providing humanitarian aid in that country.
Despite the bad weather, more than 1,000 revellers joined the fun for charity.
