Cáritas, the institution of the Catholic Church that seeks to build a better world, has launched a new campaign to try and reduce Portugal’s rising level of poverty.
Calls for help to the institution have skyrocketed since the start of the pandemic, many of them from people who can no longer pay their own rent.
