Students and parents are invited to attend a Careers Event at the Sheraton Pine Cliffs Hotel, Albufeira, on Wednesday October 15 from 3pm to 8pm.
The Careers Event is aimed at students from 13 to 18 years of age who are trying to decide what the best options are for their future. Local and international universities will be present along with organisations offering worldwide travel opportunities to young people in their vacations or before university.
More than 40 delegates will be present, covering areas from health and beauty, construction, media and art, engineering, medical careers, business and finance, travel and tourism, computing and sciences and much more.
The venue will provide an open forum where students and parents can talk casually with delegates about their chosen profession and explain their own career path, training and current opportunities. The majority of delegates will be bilingual (Portuguese and English). Entrance is free, and includes refreshments for students.
The event is supported by Info at Your Door, who bring services to the local Algarve community and the Sheraton Pine Cliffs Hotel. Local careers advisor, Gwenda Daud, will be available to provide up-to-date information about educational requirements and pay structures.
