The introduction of fees at car parks in Monte Gordo is raising great discontent among residents and local business owners.
According to the PS political party in Vila Real de Santo António, the decision made by the executive of the Câmara was “hasty” and they did not submit a “concrete proposal for discussion at the Assembly Hall”.
The opposition added that it understood the need to create a system to manage the car parks in Monte Gordo but does not understand why the exemption of payment by residents and local business owners was not implemented.
