The price of car insurance has been steadily dropping for the last decade. In the last 10 years, car insurance policies have fallen by around €100, which translates into €700 million worth of savings for Portuguese families.
Competition within the sector and a fall in the number of road accidents are the main reasons for the drop, according to a report in Correio da Manhã newspaper.
