MORE THAN 5,000 people received fines for illegally parking, in the second wave of a zero tolerance campaign, which began last month in Lisbon.
Along with the 5,024 fines, a total of 1,534 cars were clamped and 277 were towed as part of the campaign, launched by the recently elected Câmara President, António Costa. The majority of the parking offences occurred in the areas of Marquês de Pombal, Saldanha and Campo Pequeno during rush hour periods in the morning and evening.
