MORE THAN a quarter of a million people are expected to visit the 2006 Salão Internacional do Automóvel de Portugal, the country’s annual motorshow, taking place at FIL, in Lisbon’s Parque das Nações this week, and continuing until Sunday, May 7.
Visitors will be able to bring themselves up to speed with all the latest makes and models on offer from the car industry, witness national launches, take part in competitions and enjoy a varied entertainment programme.
Some of the world’s best-known brands will be exhibited within the 40,000sqm venue, including such top names as Lamborghini, Cadillac, Bentley and Mercedes. Among the other makes to feature in the exhibition this year are Audi, Volkswagen, Lexus, Saab and Fiat, to name just a few.
During the week, the show is open from 5pm until midnight, while at weekends it is open from 2pm until midnight. However, the show will close at 8pm on the final day, May 7.
