A MAN died after crashing his car into a house where the owner was sleeping in Pontes Marchil, on the EN125 near Faro.
Rui Gingeira, aged 32 and President of the Faro CDS/PP political party, was driving his blue Audi Estate when he had the accident in the early hours of Sunday morning, which is believed to have been caused by excess speed.
The home owner, aged 50, suffered light injuries to his face. “I was sleeping next to the wall that fell,” he said.
