IN TOTAL, 38 cars, jammed with items for sale, gathered at St Julian’s car park recently. Sellers hoped to make some pennies from their household items and to make room for more. Over 400 euros were raised from the ‘pitch’ price and, with the addition of sales from coffee, tea, sandwiches and cake prouded by the Women’s Royal Voluntary Service (WRVS), the amount to donate to charity was an amazing 958 euros. The WRVS donated the cheque to CIRCICA, a charity for disabled children in Livramento, to assist the staff in taking the children on a summer holiday to the sea.
