A MINUTE’S silence was observed by delegates for World Poverty Eradication Day at the second Cushman & Wakefield Retail Conference on Wednesday in Lisbon.
As part of the day’s events in the city around 400 university students lay down on a gigantic bed as part of their campaign to awaken the public to the plight of the poor in the world.
The student initiative, which marked a protest against increasing inequality in the world, took place at Alameda da Cidade Universitária, in Lisbon.
