Capela String Trio perform at Quintinha da Música

A classical music concert featuring Alexander Stewart (violin), Varoujan Bartikian (cello) and Bin Chao (violin and viola) will be held on Sunday, February 24 at Quintinha da Música, Covas da Prata (near Tavira), at 4pm. The Capela String Trio will be playing music by Stamitz, Telemann and Haydn.

London-born Alexander Stewart began violin studies at the age of six. He is currently a leader of the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa and first violin and founding member of both Lacerda String Quartet and Trio Aeternus.

Varoujan Bartikian was born in Armenia and began his studies at the Tchaikovsky Special Music School under the guidance of Alexander Tchauchian. In 2013, he founded Trio Aeternus with violinist Alexander Stewart and pianist Lucjan Luc.

Bin Chao was born into a family of musicians and began playing the violin at the age of six. Bin Chao plays a violin by Carlo Giuseppe Testore 1715. Since 2014, he has been a violin teacher at the Superior School of Music in Lisbon.
