PORTUGAL’S BOA Esperança caravel set sail for France on Sunday to represent Algarve tourism at the 61st Cannes film festival.
This replica of a caravel ship will spend 18 days travelling at sea and take part in the full 12 day festival. RTA President, António Pina said: “We are aiming to capture the attention of foreign producers and directors to our region, which has ideal filming conditions.”
Cannes film festival has around 30,000 visitors and around 10,000 journalists.
