The Alentejan resort of Zambujeira do Mar is being transformed yet again into a mass commune of tents as Festival Sudoeste gets underway, crowds from all over, and beyond. This year is Zambujeira’s 21st festival, and will see the ‘giant wheel’ once more in evidence. A novelty this year is the opportunity of bicycle rentals, giving festival goers the chance to discover the wonders of the protected Costa Vicentina.
