New opening hours for 2012 have been announced by Albufeira Câmara.
To ensure an improved, more accessible service to citizens, the city hall is now open from 9am to 5pm, representing an additional two working hours a day.
Departments where citizens pay for municipal services such as the water department will be open from 9am to 4pm.
A spokesman for Albufeira Câmara said: “The decision to remain open throughout lunch means citizens will be able to use their lunch break to deal with council matters.”
