Câmara debts

PORTIMÃO CÂMARA has assured the public that its debts will be paid by the end of the year after a whistle blower from the opposition party revealed the amount that is owed to suppliers by the council.

According to the Vice President of Portimão Câmara, Luís Carito, the Câmara owes a total of 26 million euros, of which 18 million has already been paid. He added that the rest of the debt will be paid with funds that have been secured under the government’s Pagar a Tempo e a Horas, paying on time programme.
