The Portuguese Institute of Sport (IDP) has organised an inspection of all children’s public recreational areas in the jurisdiction of Lisbon Câmara with an eye to safeguarding the wellbeing of children. The Municipal Câmara of Barreiro will monitor visits that are undertaken periodically by the IDP. After each inspection, the institute can specify a period of time for improvements to be enforced or can recommend the closure of the recreational area in question. The freguesia of Alto do Seixalinho is the first on the list for inspection.
