If you love chocolate, then Loulé will be the place to be between this Saturday and next Sunday (February 8-16).
The town will be hosting its popular chocolate fair, which every year attracts hundreds of chocolate lovers from all over the Algarve.
This year, the event will take place at the Espírito Santo convent as the municipal market, where it is usually held, is undergoing works to build a new food court.
The fair is promising to be a sweet tooth’s dream, with twenty-seven chocolate makers showcasing their mouthwatering creations including chocolate bars, crepes, cakes, fondue, pizzas and truffles.
As organisers point out, “the creativity and imagination displayed at this fair have no limits, given the versatility of the product”.
There will also be live music performances and chairs and tables where visitors can sit down and enjoy their chocolate treats.
Sustainability is also a focal point of the event, as all cups, plates and cutlery used at the event will be made of compostable materials.
The chocolate fair, which this year is celebrating its 10th anniversary, is free to attend and can be visited between 10am and 7pm.
