Lagos municipality is organising a digital photography competition under the theme ‘Your Planet is Your Land’ (O Teu Planeta é a Tua Terra). Aimed at raising awareness about the environment and promoting sustainability, the motto of the competition is “take care of the world from your own backyard”.
Aspiring photographers are encouraged to depict daily sustainable practices, such as recycling and other eco-friendly activities. All pictures must be taken in the Lagos borough.
The competition is open to people aged 14 and over, and there will be prize-money for the first three winners: €500 (first), €300 (second) and €200 (third).
Each competitor can submit up to three photos, which must be sent to the organisation by email ([email protected]) until September 30. The results will be announced in the town hall’s website and Facebook page on October 30.
