Call me Tyrannosaurus Rex

Businessman Tyler Gold believes the dinosaur name is “cooler” than his and filed to have it legally changed.

It may be a little prehistoric, but a 23-year-old American man’s new name will certainly get him noticed.

The Nebraska businessman walked into a court room as Tyler Gold and left as Tyrannosaurus Rex.

His new legal moniker will now be Tyrannosaurus Rex Joseph Gold.

He said that “as an entrepreneur, name recognition is important and the new name is more recognisable.”

Judge Alan Gless asked Gold at the hearing whether he wanted a new name so he could hide from creditors or law enforcement.

Gold said no such factors affected his decision.

Gless noted that Gold had gone through the proper legal channels for changing his name, so the judge granted Gold’s request.

And so the T-Rex lives again.
