The sale of a calendar in aid of the New Goldra Dog Sanctuary raised more than €3,000 for the upkeep of the animals.
A total of 720 calendars out of 750 printed were sold, which fundraisers say was a “fantastic response” for their first production. The funds will enable the Goldra volunteers to care for the dogs in their care and to pay for the utility costs for the past six months.
The 2014 calendar is now under preparation.
