Five people living in Rio de Mouro, Sintra, are believed to be behind a spate of recent robberies of cafés in the area but no arrests have been made.
They are said to be aged between 16 and 25 and are believed to have orchestrated four robberies between March 7 and 14.
They used guns to hold up the cafés and two of the robberies took place within minutes of each other. Police forces have been working closely with each other and say that they are close to making their arrests.
