Animal charity Cadela Carlota is promising a “fun-filled day for the family” with a number of Christmas-related events on Sunday (November 29) at the Boavista Golf & Spa Resort outside Lagos.
There will be a Christmas crafts fair featuring “some of the Algarve’s finest crafters,” a Santa’s grotto where parents can buy their children a present for €5, and a book signing by Kellie Malloney – the transgender former boxing manager who last year announced she was undertaking gender reassignment.
Also on the programme is an individual stableford shotgun golf competition, open to all with prices ranging from between €45 and €65, including a buggy and lunch.
Anyone who would like to take part in the lunch without playting, can do so for €20.
The golf tournament begins at 8am, while the craft fair starts at 10am.
