Cacela Velha, in the borough of Vila Real de Santo António, is holding its ‘Mercadinho de Natal’ Christmas fair this Sunday (December 11).
Handicrafts, jewellery and local produce such as honey, cakes, bread, jams, liqueurs and organic soaps as well as second-hand items including clothes, toys, records and paintings are among the products that will be sold at the several stalls that will line the village’s streets.
Entertainment will include dance performances by the Arte da Ria group and Maré Martinez as well as music by DJ Yacobian.
The programme also features a food drive for the Mão Amiga association and the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Vila Real de Santo António.
The event takes place between 10.30am and 5pm. Admission is free.
