CASA, a support centre for homeless people, received a gold medal of merit from Faro council on Sunday (September 7) for the work it has carried out in the municipality.
“This was only possible due to the goodwill and commitment of our volunteers, the support of private companies and everyone else who supports us on a daily basis,” said coordinator of CASA Faro Pedro Cebola.
Although it was only established in Faro in 2008, CASA already helps as many as 400 families.
