Although the Adega (winery) street market in Lagoa only began three weeks ago, already exhibitor numbers have more than doubled and the market welcomed more than 600 people last Saturday.
The next market day is being held tomorrow (Saturday) and after shoppers have picked up something special, they can then move inside the Adega to the Galeria Arte Algarve.
A new exhibition including the works of more than 30 international artists is taking place at the 1,400sqm gallery from October 8 until December 24 including pieces from Jean Brown, Otto Eck, Elly Maessen, Ernesto Mies and Saulo Silveira.
Meanwhile, Saulo Silveira is holding an individual exhibition in a special gallery space on the first floor of the gallery, a room with more than 200 square metres of space. The exhibition is running for four weeks with the room then being used for monthly exhibitions from other international artists.
