Business people discuss 2011 strategies over breakfast

The British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) welcomed 49 members to its latest breakfast meeting at Amendoeira Golf Clubhouse on November 16.

Dr Janice Russell Dexter of Health & Life Transitions, Kate Ayres Rouse from Yellow Kite and Gerry Fagan, CEO of the Oceânico Group, formed the panel of speakers.

Each member of the panel introduced thoughts, ideas and aspirations for the forthcoming year, with particular emphasis on review before planning.

There was a lively question and answer session following the main presentations with many people enjoying the opportunity to share experiences.

Unsurprisingly, local banks came in for heavy criticism.

Sheena Rawcliffe, director of the BPCC, confirmed to the members that the Southern Area Committee has already started the formulation of its strategy for 2011 – a very important year for the BPCC as the chamber will celebrate its centenary.
