Last month was the busiest June for Algarve hotels in the last 15 years.
According to AHETA hoteliers association, 81.2% of the region’s hotel rooms were booked last month – a 5.2% increase compared to last year and the highest percentage since 2001.
Tavira (+16.9%) and Lagos/Sagres (+7.8%) celebrated the largest increases in guests, most of which were British, German and French.
