A Transol bus carrying 41 passengers was completely destroyed after catching fire on the A2 motorway near São Bartolomeu de Messines on Saturday afternoon (June 4).
The passengers – all Portuguese, on an organised trip– were evacuated without incident.
GNR police are investigating as so far the cause of the fire is unexplained.
