A JOINT Burns celebration by the St. Andrew’s Society of Lisbon and the Single Malt Whisky Society of Portugal was held recently at the Clube de Golfe da BelaVista in Lisbon. Traditional Scottish dancing followed a meal organised by the club, which was accompanied by a selection of fine Glenfiddich malt whiskies, sponsored by Prime Drinks S.A. The Society wishes to thank the Clube de Golfe da BelaVista, Prime Drinks S.A., the Single Malt Whisky Society and its members and guests for making the evening such a success. The committee would like to give special thanks to John Goodwin, piper Malcolm MacGillivray and members of the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra, who flew in from Scotland to play at the event.
