A dozen local residents have protested against a bullfight that is scheduled for July 9 at Ferreiras in Albufeira council.
At the protest, held during the April 25 bank holiday celebrations, residents waved posters with anti-bullfighting messages.
Protest organiser Carla Matias told Portuguese daily newspaper Correio da Manhã: “We were few but we had the impact we wanted.”
The protesters also handed a letter of protest to the Mayors of Albufeira Câmara and Ferreiras Parish Council.
