‘Bull’ fight!

The International Kartodrome of the Algarve, one of the most modern tracks in the world, is hosting the fourth and last round of the Red Bull Kart Fight on April 21.

The Algarve session follows similar events in Braga, the eastern regions and Palmela and is designed to establish the best Portuguese amateur racing kart driver who will go on to represent the country at the World Finals on the weekend of December 8 and 9.

The competition is open to everyone between the ages of 13 and 35, of at least 1.50 metres in height not in possession of any type of official sports licence.

The type of kart used will be a Sodikary RX7 chassis Honda 270cc and entries costing €10 can be made in advance online or at the Portimão Motor Park on the day.

If you think you are a potential kart racing champion, this is the opportunity to demonstrate your skills at the wheel and go on to bigger things!

Meanwhile, young Algarve kart racer, Tomás Apolónia, won the first round of the Baltar Kart Cup at the Braga Kartodrome on April 6.

After finishing in third in the Campeonato de Portugal last year, he will now be competing in the inaugural Campeonato de 2012, which takes place in Braga later this month.
