Building excellence in Portugal

An opportunity to learn more about achieving building excellence in Portugal is on offer through an initiative organised by the British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) in Vilamoura next month.

The BPCC has brought together representatives of the Chartered Institute of Building, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Institution of Civil Engineers, together with individual members of the Royal Institute of British Architects for an event where they will be explaining their contribution to the concept of building excellence.

Employing suitably qualified professionals brings peace of mind that projects are in safe hands coupled with the assurance that appropriate standards are being adhered to.

Guaranteeing that such standards are being maintained comes within the responsibilities of these respected bodies, all of which have active members working in Portugal.

The guest speaker at the event will be the renowned developer André Jordan, who has an enviable reputation as a developer in the Algarve earned by applying the principles promoted by professional institutions.

The Building Excellence event takes place on October 19 and is open to members of any of the participating institutions or of the BPCC.

It is also open to developers, estate agents, property management companies, engineers, surveyors, builders, architects or any other individual with an interest in promoting good business practices in the property sector.

A one-hour networking session will begin at midday with an opportunity to meet with representatives from the organising entities, followed by a lunch at 1pm featuring guest speaker André Jordan.

The event is to take place at the Hotel Tivoli Victoria in Vilamoura and costs 36 Euros for members and 45 Euros plus IVA for non-members.
