A BRITISH man was arrested in Albufeira last Thursday (March 6) after police realised there was an international warrant for his arrest by British police for robbery and attempted murder.
Police became suspicious of a car with Spanish licence plates and the occupants, according to the Correio da Manhã newspaper, which names the arrested man, but the British Embassy in Lisbon could not confirm any details.
He is likely to be extradited back to the UK and is said to be receiving consular assistance but the embassy declined to comment any further about the case.
