A British woman had a lucky escape on Friday night after being struck by a tourist train in Albufeira’s busy Rua do Município.
According to reports, “despite the violence of the impact, the woman suffered only light injuries”. She was transported to Faro Hospital, reports Correio da Manhã, adding that the accident happened so quickly that the train driver had no chance to react.
The woman “crossed the road suddenly”, said CM, and was not using a pedestrian crossing.
