Overseas Supermercados will be opening two stores in the Algarve this month.
“Eager to expand on its ever-growing number of stores”, Overseas prepares for a dual opening on Tuesday, May 28 in Almancil and Galé.
Overseas Supermercados have been supplying expats and residents with British brands for over 20 years. Originally founded in 1996, what started with a warehouse in Tenerife has now expanded to over 20 stores across Portugal, mainland Spain and Canary Islands.
In a press statement this week, Overseas explained how the company “sources fresh, frozen and grocery products from some of the most popular British household brands and supermarkets, allowing customers to enjoy the food they love at the convenience we all crave.
“The store stocks everything from Iceland’s freezer essentials to the Waitrose Heritage Collection, with new lines constantly being added to their repertoire to offer shoppers even more choice.”
To celebrate the opening of the new stores, Overseas will be handing out ice creams and ice lollies to the first 1,500 customers. Shoppers can also take advantage of weekly ‘seven-day deals’ and regular promotions on foods and drink.
Overseas Almancil is located at Sítio do Além (Stand Telo), EN125, while in Galé the store will be located at Centro Comercial da Galé, Urbanização do Monte, Vale Rabelho.
