AT A recent general meeting of the British Retirement Home Association, members were presented with the new brochure for Quinta da Fonte, located at São Pedro do Estoril (20 kilometres west of Lisbon), showing the quality of the accommodation and support services.
Quinta da Fonte aims to ensure a choice of lifestyle that is as independent and private as possible, with professional care support available when required. It comprises 10 condominium style, self-contained apartments with a large living room and bedroom, plus en-suite bathroom and a kitchenette. There are also eight large rooms for single occupancy available in the main building, each with adjacent bathrooms.
Cultural and social activities are regularly organised to enhance the quality of life of the residents. Contracts and charges vary according to the type and size of accommodation and the level of care support required. Non-residents are welcome on a daily basis and short-term stays for recuperation or holiday periods can also be negotiated.
As part of its social calendar, the British Retirement Home Association will hold its annual Christmas party and carol singing this Saturday, December 17, at 6pm. All members of the association and supporters are most welcome to attend.
