British pensioner ‘on run’ from Spanish authorities arrested after sailing into Portimão Marina

A British pensioner wanted in Spain for tax fraud was arrested after sailing into Portimão Marina on the boat she shares with a 74-year-old British man. SEF borders agency made the arrest after effecting routine control of the boat as it entered the marina.The woman, aged 70, spent the night at the GNR station in Lagoa, before being taken before a judge at Évora court of appeal. She is now being held in Tires women’s prison near Lisbon awaiting extradition.
