British motorhomer in hospital after sustaining serious burns in LPG gas accident

A 77-year-old British man is in hospital after sustaining second-degree burns to his face and arms while filling up his motorhome with LPG at a Portimão petrol station.

The liquid gas, known to cause severe cold burns, spilled onto him due to an issue with the LPG adapter he was using, a PSP police source told us.

As we went to press, the holidaymaker was still in hospital in Portimão.
