A 27-year-old British man was found dead after presumably drowning this Tuesday afternoon at the Hotel Paraíso pool in Albufeira.
Authorities were alerted at 2pm after the man was found in the water in cardiac arrest.
Albufeira firefighters and INEM emergency services were dispatched to the scene and tried to revive the man, but to no avail. His death was declared on the spot.
According to national tabloid Correio da Manhã, the man was on holiday with his family in Portugal.
