Authorities have confirmed the death of a second British man in the Algarve in just two days. The latest tragedy occurred when a 70-year-old British man is reported to have “accidentally fallen” while walking along a cliff near Praia dos Tomates in Albufeira this Thursday morning.
Maritime police, firefighters and INEM emergency services were dispatched to the scene and the body was located on the sand below. His death was declared at the scene, reports the national maritime authority (AMN).
The body was removed by maritime police and taken by firefighters to Portimão’s legal medicine institute.
The tragic news comes just one day after another British man died in the Algarve after feeling unwell on Odeceixe beach in Aljezur (click here).
