The Royal British Legion’s Western Algarve Section is hosting a tribute to the generation of servicemen who, they say, “helped shape the world as we know it today”.
The BBQ evening on Thursday, June 6 is to honour the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings, with the theme “A time to say thank you”.
The event is to be held at the Barroca Bar & Restaurant in Praia da Luz, at 7pm for a 7.30pm start, and tickets cost €20 per person.
Sue Salisbury-Howe, the RBL Western Algarve Events Organiser, told us: “These events sell out quite quickly, so anyone interested in attending should book early.
“The evening is for members and non-members; everyone is welcome, and the dress code is smart/casual.”
The menu consists of a starter followed by a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian, dessert and wine.
