British Consulates in Portugal have this week launched a new online service for customers to book appointments for notarial services.
The service will allow customers to book their appointments from their homes at any time of the day and receive immediate confirmation.
The type of notarial services provided by the British Consulates include, among others, legalising translations, taking oaths or affirmations and notices of marriage.
A spokesman for the British Embassy told the Algarve Resident: “For some time, notarial services have been carried out on an appointment basis at our Consulates. This meant sending an email and waiting for a reply to know whether the appointment was confirmed or not. Now booking an appointment is literally just a click away.
