British Consul to the Algarve Clive Jewell is pictured with volunteers of the Castelo de Sonhos’ charity baby shop in Silves.
This area of the charity deals with feeding and clothing babies from birth to two years.
Clive spent several hours talking to technicians and volunteers to familiarise himself with the work that is carried out by the charity.
Recently, 24 boxes of pyjamas donated by Asda supermarket chain were shipped over from the UK by Algarve Removals, free of charge.
Meanwhile, ‘Picnic in the Park’, an event in aid of Castelo de Sonhos, is taking place at Sitio dos Fontes on September 1 from 6pm.
There will be live music and dancing, a raffle and tombola. Participants are asked to bring a picnic with them. Barbecues will be available for use. Entry is €5 per person.
