Associação Madrugada will be celebrating its second anniversary with the opening of its second charity shop in the Algarve on Friday, March 4.
Guest of honour Clive Jewell, the British Consul to the Algarve, will mark the official opening of the shop in Portimão from noon, while members of Madrugada, the charity that supports people affected by life limiting illness, will be available to show guests around the premises, situated in Rua Direita.
The shop will be offering keen bargain hunters the opportunity to browse and purchase a variety of goods including clothing, accessories, footwear, books, CDs and DVDs, object d’art, furniture and linens.
Alison Blair from Madrugada said: “Help us to support the excellent work that Madrugada is achieving by donating unwanted good quality items or by becoming a volunteer.”
Shop opening times are from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 1pm Saturday.
If you would like to join the Madrugada team of volunteers by working a shift in either the Luz or Portimão charity shops, please contact Chris on 925 664 235 or the Madrugada Office on 282 761 375 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
