A WELL ATTENDED meeting of the British Community Council (BCC) of Lisbon, a voluntary body which brings together English-speaking people from many walks of life, took place recently at Cheshire Homes in Carcavelos.
Members of the council include the British Embassy, NATO, the British Chamber of Commerce, St. Dominic’s, St Julian’s and St. George’s international schools, the Royal British Club, the Societies of St. George, St. Andrew and St. David, International Women in Portugal, the Royal British Legion, the Salvation Army, the British Historical Society, Lisbon Casuals, RBC Golf Society, and many others.
The meeting was chaired by Greg Leadbeater, who stressed the importance of keeping the council informed of future events organised by members to prevent date clashes.
