Following on from the successful presentations by the British Consul and the UK Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to visitors at this year’s Better Living in Portugal (BLiP) exhibition in September, the British Ambassador to Portugal, Alexander Ellis and the British Consul to the Algarve, Paul Rodwell, will be addressing afpop members at an informal coffee morning in the Albufeira area on October 15.
The meeting, organised by afpop, Portugal’s largest foreign residents’ association, will be held from 11am and is open to any British national who would like to hear what the Ambassador and the Consul have to say about how the Embassy and Consular staff support expatriates and visitors to Portugal.
Paul Rodwell told the Algarve Resident: “On behalf of the Ambassador, I would like to thank afpop for organising this open meeting and their role as a key partner with the Embassy and the Consulate in helping the local community.”
Anyone who would like to attend is asked to contact the afpop office for information about the venue, on 282 458 509 or by email on [email protected] If you would like to direct questions, please send them to [email protected] by Tuesday, October 13 at the latest under the heading AFPOP question.
