A weekend of food, folklore, music and culture will be taking place in the village of Cortelha on August 6 and 7 as the community celebrates both the Banquets festival of Manjares Serranos and the Folklore Festival of Serra do Caldeirão.
Visitors to the village in the Loulé municipality will be able to listen to folklore performances while also having the opportunity to sample traditional cuisine including homemade sausages, regional sweets and local Medronho liquer.
The event is open from 6pm until 9.30pm on August 6 and from 6pm until 8.30pm on August 7 and is free to attend.
