It is 1818 and English poet John Keats begins a secret love affair with the outspoken girl next door Fanny Brawne, a student of high fashion. The unlikely pair are at odds over everything, with Fanny being generally unimpressed by his poetry and Keats being in awe of her style and fashion. When Fanny helps Keats nurse his younger brother, the pair develop a deep and passionate romance.
